Welcome back to my blog, where I’ll be sharing an update on my journey into the world of voiceover. As I had mentioned in my previous post, I am taking steps to pursue this career path while working full-time and running my company, Health First Transport. While I only have limited free time, I have been researching extensively to fully understand the ins and outs of the industry.
One of the aspects I have been researching is the equipment needed, the cost of entry, and the performance aspect of the art. There’s a lot to take in, and I’m still absorbing new information every day. Throughout my research, I have come across some fantastic resources, and two of my favorites are Bill DeWees and Mike DelGaudio.
Bill DeWees, a renowned voiceover artist, has been my unofficial mentor through his YouTube channel. His videos are informative and have helped me understand the industry better. I highly recommend checking out his channel at https://www.youtube.com/@VoiceCoach-BillDeWees.
Another resource that I have found invaluable is Mike DelGaudio’s YouTube channel, Booth Junkie. He has a fantastic way of explaining complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. His focus on equipment and other helpful topics has been beneficial for me. You can check out his channel at https://www.youtube.com/@BoothJunkie.
Although I still have a lot to learn, I’m determined to keep pushing forward. Pursuing a career in voiceover is a challenging but rewarding path, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. I’ll be sure to update you on my progress as I continue to delve deeper into the world of voiceover. Until next time!
